The Big Day. Daniel had been dying for weeks to see Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. We went the weekend it opened, but early in the day so as not to bother any die hards, as Daniel has a tendency to get over-excited in movies and narrate the action (ex. "Look Mommy! Anakin Skywalker!!"). He was literally quaking with excitement the entire morning, and this picture was taken in line for the movie; he met this 7-year-old boy name Evan who was very nice, and Daniel was all pumped about the fact that they were wearing the same t-shirt. Daniel did very well in the movie; he sat on the edge of his seat from the second the 20th Century Fox logo appeared onscreen; shouted out, "Look Mommy, George Lucas!!" when the Lucasfilm logo appeared; and otherwise just loved the movie. He was angry when Anakin Skywalker turned to the Dark Side and yelled out, "But Anakin Skywalker HATES the Dark Side!!!!" Which was kind of cute, and seemed to amuse the majority of people seated near us...  Posted by Hello

Um... Chandler Bing in what way??

Nah, Daniel wasn't scared. The things that scare him are interesting and varied and wholly unpredictable and could actually make a nice subject for this blog someday; but if Steven Spielberg says something is inappropriate for a child under the age of 10, it's like writing in stone that my son is going to LOVE IT, never have a nightmare over it, and probably reenact the lamest parts over and over in his imaginative play (in this case, any scenes between Padme and Anakin, because my son is smart enough, at 4, to have the hots for Natalie Portman. He takes the Padme action figure to bed at night, where she sleeps on a perch just next to his head. Again, a whole 'nother subject for a whole new day.).

So nah. Not scared. He IS smart, though, isn't he? Teehee.
